"Dr. Alber and his team at Higley Groves are wonderful. I first found Higley Groves 5 or 6 yrs ago, thinking it was the previous emergency vet. At that time, my Boston (Jakey) seemed not to be feeling well & the vet I had used for years could not get us in for a week. When Jake and I arrived at Higley Groves, Kay at the front desk informed me that Dr. Alber & his team were having lunch. I told her I did not have an appointment as I thought I was at the emergency vet when she kindly asked me to wait a min and left the desk. Once she came back she told me that the Dr. would see us in a few mins. First thought was, my gosh, cutting his lunch early to see my sweet little Jakey, I was beyond thankful and Jakey was smitten by Dr. Alber's interaction and examining her. I am in private health care and wish doctors were as personable, knowledgeable, compassionate, intuitive and honest as he is. He takes the time to explain what test or action he would like to do and why. He also makes a point to go over costs first and starts with lowest first based on his thinking what the issue and treatment options are. He lets you decide and gives his honest & knowledgable opinion. He is NOT trying to get rich, his richness is in compassion and love for animals. I have referred Higley Groves to several friends and every single one has loved Higley Groves. I have found that he is spot on every single time he first suspects the ailment and then the test confirms. 5 yrs & 3 rescue babies later, always spot on. The entire team at HG is really really a God send and their integrity is above and beyond any practice I have experienced whether you have 2 feet or 4 paws or tail or no tail.
