Dr. Shannon McGill
Dr. Shannon McGill is from everywhere and nowhere. She spent her childhood moving all across the country and the world exploring different environments and cultures; but she is a midwestern girl at heart. Dr. McGill graduated with honors from Miami University of Ohio, majoring in Zoology, Environmental Science and Spanish. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois.
After graduating in 2013 she completed an Internship at the University of Illinois before moving to southern Wisconsin where she practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian for 7 years. Her husband’s job has since moved them twice, first to Indiana and now to Arizona. In her spare time, Dr. McGill enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, riding and competing with her horses Brewer and Harry. Dr. McGill and her husband have two dogs, good boy Phil and rambunctious Lemon; they look forward to exploring Arizona with them.
Dr. McGill has a certificate in veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (animal chiropractic) and has strong interests in surgery, reproduction, ophthalmology and regenerative medicine. She is excited to join the team at Higley Groves Animal Hospital and grow the practice and what they have to offer.
