Dr. Jennifer Freeman
Dr. Jennifer Freeman graduated from Colorado State University with her DVM degree summa cum laude in 2000. After completing an intensive one-year internship at Mesa Veterinary Hospital, she has been in general practice in the east valley for over 18 years. In 2018, she joined PetSmart as the Veterinarian for Services at PetSmart’s corporate home office in Phoenix.
She has been the co-owner of 2 veterinary practices with her husband, Dr. Tony Alber. Together, they currently own Higley Groves Animal Hospital in Mesa, AZ. They were the prior owners of Prestige Animal Clinic in Gilbert, AZ. They have 2 sons and 2 dogs. Both dogs were adopted – Buck is a now blind, almost deaf old terrier mix who survived lymphoma and has been cancer-free for over 3 years and Baby Girl is a 2-year old wild pit bull who loves to chew her toys and snuggle on pillows. Dr. Freeman enjoys traveling most notably to Wisconsin/Minnesota, Northern Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. She is a member of the AVMA and AzVMA, sits on the Healthy Pet Advisory Council (HPAC) at PetSmart, and will serve on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI).
